The Delaware PIRC and its partners work collaboratively to provide parents and schools with the information and necessary skills to become effective partners in education.
Early Childhood Parent Education
In partnership with the Parents as Teachers home visitation program, DEPIRC provides parents of 3-5 year olds with information and skills to promote healthy child growth and development, educational development and school and academic readiness.
Parent Leadership
In partnership with the Rodel Foundation DEPIRC builds statewide parent leadership by enrolling 30 eligible parents from Delaware public schools in the Delaware Parent Leadership Institute(DPLI). The DPLI is an evidence-based training program held two times each year that is focused on giving parents the necessary skills to assume long-lasting and outcome-driven leadership roles in their children’s school.

Through a collaborative relationships with the following agencies, DEPIRC works to promote parental involvement, child advocacy and effective partnerships between families and schools.
